Oh...das wusste ich garnicht. Ich finde generell die Live-versionen der Mogwaisongs ungefähr 10fach intensiver als die Albumversionen. Die Scheibe ist gekauft!

As you may or may not know Mogwai have been spending the summer recording their new album, we've not said much about it so far so this is kind of what this email's about. So, here goes:
We're delighted to announce that the new album called, ‘Hardcore Will Never Die, But You Will’ will be released on 14th February 2011 on Rock Action Records.
‘Hardcore Will Never Die, But You Will’, band’s seventh album, was recorded over the summer at Chem 19 Studios, in Hamilton and mixed at The Castle Of Doom. ‘Hardcore’ is produced by Mogwai confidante Paul Savage (the man behind Mogwai’s exceptional 1997 ‘Mogwai Young Team’ album) and is the follow up to 2008’s magnum opus ‘The Hawk Is Howling’.
The album will be released on February 15 2011 in the US where Mogwai have recently signed to the illustrious Sub Pop label for North America.

There will also be a Limited Edition version of the album, which includes a bonus CD featuring a 26 minute long piece called ‘The Singing Mountain’ recorded for Douglas Gordon and Olaf Nicolai’s ‘Monument for Forgotten Future’ installation in Essen, Germany
The band will be touring extensively early next year, with shows across Scotland, Ireland, the UK, Europe, the US and Japan.
The band will begin their ‘world tour’ with a 5 show stint in their native Scotland before heading out to Japan, Ireland, UK, Europe and US. The band will play a one off show in Tokyo, Japan on February 2nd 2011 (More details to follow) There will be a limited number of Mogwai Season Tickets allowing fans admittance to all 5 Scottish shows in January 2011 for a total cost of £65. der support (RM Hubbert) war ja knuffig! ^^ hat mir aber auch gut gefallen, was er auf der gitarre fabriziert hat.
mogwai waren sichtlich etwas tourgeschädigt (oder schauen die immer so?), hab etwas gebraucht bis ich warm geworden bin (kenn die neuen lieder noch nicht), aber spätestens ab "mogwai fear satan" war ich hinfortgeweht. 3 zugaben waren auch überaus großzügig
2 dämpfer: - mir war "i love you i'm gonna blow up your school" nicht gegönnt - kein "hardcore..." als LP zum verkauf
Ich war ja in Frankfurt da und muss sagen, dass ich den Support relativ unnötig fand. Eher langweilig. Irgendwie klangen die Songs alle gleich und die Ansagen zur Enstehung der Songs...ich weiß nicht...das hätte alles wirklich nicht sein müssen.
Mogwai selbst, waren wie immer großartig und richtig schön laut, wobei der "Gesang" bei George Thatchers Death Party ein bisschen schräg klang. Der Rausschmeißer "Mogwai fear Satan" war unglaublich. Allein dafür hat sich der Eintritt und die Anreise gelohnt.

dürfte so wohl stimmen.
sehr sehr sehr gutes konzert wie ich finde. selbst der sound war brilliant, das hatte ich noch nie im grünspan und wenn der auch noch stimmt ist es ja doch ein sehr schöner konzertsaal. der support war in der tat etwas nervig und überflüssig, klang wirklich alles ähnlich und seine nicht geraden spritzigen ansagen vertrieben die gepflegte langeweile nicht wirklich.
minus: handy geklaut/verloren extraplus: die nette neue bekanntschaft die direkt neben mir stand.
weder scotland's shame, noch too raging to cheers... manchmal frage ich mich wirklich ob die Musiker überhaupt wissen welche Ihrer Songs SONST noch wirklich gut sind, alles bleibt mal wieder dem Zuhörer überlassen...
wie ich belanglose stücke auf Konzerten hasse..
